Existing visitor accommodation should be protected and more should be encouraged. Good quality B & B are essential for the tourist industry.
This should include public houses which should not be allowed to be bought up by supermarkets to create even more units, taking trade from existing local retailers.

Tourism is fundamentally important to the District's economy. This is not just about development, it is also about proactive marketing and promotion. The historic town centres are a major draw, but we lack distinctive town centre accommodation. I would support a policy which seeks to protect a reduction in town centre accommodation, unless it can be proven that it is genuinely no longer viable, or of inadequate quality.

The suggestion that lack of overnight accommodation limits overnight stays is pure speculation. The central location and good transport links have made the area very easy to reach as a day trip destination. Lack of demand has resulted in the closure of more than one Leaminton hotel since the M40 was opened.

More vision in tourism needed. Budget Chain Hotel will damage the tourism economy.

Where appropriate, existing visitor accommodation should be allowed to be changed to mixed use to suit local market conditions.
The building of new visitor accommodation would be desirable where there is a lack of local guest accommodation in and around villages and other rural areas.

7b Gardens both in the parks, historical locations and private, are a source of great tourist attraction to the district we must maintain and encourage our residents to get involved and develop even more attractions for the tourists that involve gardening - the project for the Pump Room Gardens is a good example. A living, working allotment in one of the parks would be a good idea as an incentive for people to try.

Again, impossible with overall sprawl of accommodation within and outside the towns. Previously hotels have been turned into flats etc.

Yes, as this will bring an income to local shops who have been failed through lack of support by the Council.
