With reference to the sub-regional renewables study, the Council and relevant partner authorities, are reminded of relevant Aerodrome Safeguarding criteria, particularly in respect of Birmingham International Airport (BIA), when investigating options/locations for wind energy (i.e. wind turbines).

If you build north and south along Harbury Lane another 10,000 vehicles contributing to the emissions coming from the M40 and heavy flow into Europa Way and Technology Park I'm sure would do wonders for the ozone layer.

Do not place houses so far away from facilities that cars have to be used. eg. Warwick Gates residents use cars to take children to school.

Standard is too low!
New building standards could and should be much higher.
BUT also need to incorporate sustainable standards for major refurbishment/ improvements to existing housing stock when planning permission is sort.
HOWEVER to be truly sustainable building design life needs to be longer, I live in 180 year old building, how many new houses and flats will make it to 50 years?
What is the life expectancy of plastic windows/ insulation materials, can they be recycled?
Therefore minimum room and plot size- i.e parker morris- needed if homes are able to meet changing needs over time, and therefore be sustainable!

Having more allotments planned from the start will help reduce carbon emissions in the district. Recycling, water conservation and low or non existent energy use is the allotment way.

Higher targets should not be pursued at extra cost. There are other priorities.
