Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The Kenilworth train station is not on a main line, and as such cannot be relied on to be extensively used for commuting, as the necessity to change at Coventry or Leamington will discourage people to use it.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The encouragement of people to walk or cycle needs more than the correct location of developments - it requires strategic planning of cycle and walking infrastructure across the disctrict and particulalrly in the towns.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The siting of developments withing walking and cycling distance of employment areas is laudible. The plan appears to site a major development accross the other side of Leamington from current and proposed employment centres. It is also a distance away from any development at the proposed science park at stoneligh park.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The objective is a worthy one, but it is totally inconsistent with the rest of the plan. Siting new development in villages - away from the centres of employment - makes no sense at all.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Although this is a worthy aim it is completely unrealistic. If you are doing a weekly shop you are going to use your car whether the shop is 5 minutes away or 30. I can't see me getting my weekly shop home on my bike!

But where are the specific plans for more cycleways? This is a brilliant opportunity to be creative and look at providing a proper cycling infrastructure particularly between our three towns.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Housing developments throughout the area to support the Gateway project on the south of Coventry, (which is of course not within Warwickshire) and particularly Loes farm to the north of Warwick, would necessarily increase car usage, road congestion and carbon emissions within Warwick district.
