This should be a guiding principle. Any planning proposals shouldn't adversely affect the current situation in any way

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The proposed plans do not appear to do this with a concentration of new provision on the Green Belt in in North Leamington. There is no sufficnt evidence for this exceptional use of the Green Belt and I would suggest a more equitable distribution of houses would include land around Radford Semele or Bishop's Tachbrook, or indeed a new sustainable village based on Hatton. The latter would avoid the disadvantage or an ever expanding ring of houses round existing settlements and bring a new one into being.

Particularly important to support the historic and environmental heritage of old Milverton by not linking it to existing development.

Ymatebydd: Mr Graham Harvey

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The Preferred Options do not meet the aim of 'appropriate distribution' because they largely concentrate on the urbanisation of the countryside failing to respect the green belt and the rural nature of the district.

This approach cannot warrant encroachment on the green belt on such a massive scale as there are no exceptional circumstances to remove their 'permanence' (NPPF Sec 9 Paras 79 & 8O).

There is non green belt land to the south of Warwick which could be developed but which has not been brought forward as a consideration.

If the Council is creating a new green belt then the NPPF has much to say about and this makes it clear that "New Green Belts should only be established in exceptional circumstances .... "
