Barford Village has grown sufficiently large enough, any more growth it will lose it`s small rural character.
With to spread of development from south Warwick which is and will become within walking distance of Barford there is no reason to spoil the village just to accommodate the housing figures.

-If Barford has to take the additional homes currently proposed by the District Council, the Neighbourhood Development Plan Group supports the three preferred sites named in the consultation documents provided that:
(i) The mix of types of housing meets the needs identified in the Housing Needs Survey
(ii) The building is phased over the Local Plan period.

-Accepts that the WDC Local Plan must accept a share of the district-wide growth even though it is in excess of the village's identified and measured immediate local needs.
-If the district wide numbers are to be accepted, Site 1, 2 and 3 are the only realistic options available within the parish capable of satisfying the housing numbers and such acceptance is recognised in the emerging Barford Neighbourhood Development Plan.
-Will not accept the 'standard developer mix'.
-The JPC is not prepared to accept any increase in these plan led numbers for the forthcoming New Local Plan period.
