Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The roads in the Burton Green area are already busy at peak times, the addition of these houses will make this even worse. The selection of Burrow Hill nursery as the preferred location does not make sense, it will be very close to the proposed HS2 line, making these properties difficult to sell particularly if they are built prior to the line going through. Housing in the area is already blighted, why build more to suffer the same thing.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I do not think 1 site should be the preferred option. Additionally 75 houses is a large number which increases housing stock in BG by 28% which is more than the other village increases. Finally 75 located in the one site would be in stark contrast to the other homes in Burton Green which are spread evenly throughout the village.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

This option makes provision for large development concentrated into one area, which will create a separate community detached from either Burton Green or current properties on Red Lane.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

1) If only the preferred option is approved, the development of that site will be too concentrated and will not be in keeping with the 'character and setting' of the village
2) In the red lane area where the preferred site is situated, there is a high watertable which needs to be considered, and HS2 construction work and the HS2 train line will be close by

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

too many properties allocated to this option which goes against the wishes of the residents and the character and nature of the village.
HS2 has already stated they will provide a new and larger village hall so therefore it's location at this site where considerable disruption by HS2 will take place should not lead any arguments for this option. Likewise the school is a small primary school with its own facilities.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

A development of 75 houses on the preferred site of Burrow Hill would be completely out of character with the rest of the village.

Property in the area, especially from HS2 to Red Lane, is already blighted - surely a new development will face similar problems.

I support the logic for this choice of site with the proviso that impact on the existing roadside hedgerows is minimal, and that a safe cycle / pedestrian route could be incorporated around the rear boundary of the developoment, connecting Red Lane & Hob Lane.

Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The respondent supports the discounting of Site 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 due to the following reasons:
-The detrimental impact the developments would have on the landscape and visual and openness
-The Sites' isolated locations from the existing village and services.
-Issues regarding access and land ownership
-Environmental and physical constraints such as tree lines, scrubland and Grade 2 Agricultural Land (Site 2 and 3)
-HS2 restrictions (Site 2)
-All sites would fail to deliver the community benefits that Site 1 is able to provide.
