The neighbourhood plan is important for a village which has seen extensive development and where there may be continuing pressure for further inappropriate levels of development.
Paragraph 3.6 sets out clearly that up to 300 new homes have been allocated, that there are no further local plan allocations and underlines the justification for maintaining the current village envelope.

A significant factor is the WDC New Local Plan described the area of Radford Semele as a ''growth area''; this could have a serious inference but the outcome of determination by the Government Inspector restricted the ambit of the Village Envelope, and a recent local appeal has failed to breach that principle; the thrust of the draft plan is to build on that by limiting the volume of new housing but looking to enhance the quality of any new build.
