I am unsure the conservation area in Radford Semele is now shown correctly on Map 4, because the land to the south between the canal and Southam Road adjacent to St Nicholas Church was included in the area map during the public consultation and also when the conservation area was 'Made' ratified in Jan19, but now in this current consultation it has been removed without explanation.

This response is on behalf of Radford Semele parish council which requests that an additional area of land in the parish is covered by the Canal Conservation Area and the Canalside Development Plan Document.

The request is in respect of the field to the east of Church Lane, Radford Semele. This field forms an integral part of the landscape to the south of the Grand Union Canal and to the north of Southam Road with the historic parish church to the west.

The field was included in the Canal Conservation Area at the public consultation stage but appears to have been omitted from the final conservation area approved in January 2019. There does not appear to have been any public consultation on this change. Consequently, the parish council requests that the field is reinstated within the Canal Conservation Area as originally proposed.
