If possible, it would be nice for the canals to be used as cycle corridors to provide an alternative to the Emscote Road. This would need consideration as to lighting and connectivity - too often cyclists get deposited at the end of a route with no thought as to where they go next.

In rural areas, if the footpath is of better quality then this encourages use (provided there is suitable parking nearby), which then deters anti-social behaviour.
