Whilst I agree with the proposed policy the Council has failed to ensure adherence to it when in a position to do so. The 2 new blocks of apartments on the former Elisabeth the Chef site next to the canal and St Marys Road have denied continuity of open space and canal access which has been implemented on the former Soans' site to the east. Secure fencing prevents passage along the south side of the canal between Sydenham Drive and St Marys Road.
