With regard to QE10, we disagree with the premise that tourism is unaffected by spatial planning. There are key issues to be addressed around infrastructure in and around areas of development that not only supports its residents but those visiting the area. The impacts that these developments and associated economic plans will have a direct impact on workforce that feed the tourism sector. We also add that the RSC feels strongly about the need to build cultural capacity in the town/region, which is supported by appropriate infrastructure, which can support economic growth of the area.

Q-H1-1: The HEDNA is proposing that we move away from an approach where future household needs are based on the 2014-based household projections towards a trend-based approach. Do you think that the HEDNA evidence provides a reasonable basis for identifying future levels of housing need across South Warwickshire?

In considering the options for Q-H2-2 we would suggest a hybrid option with a South Warwickshire wide requirement being set, and for that to then be divided between key areas of the district as required.

Q-H2-3: How should South Warwickshire best address the specialist needs for older people?

We broadly support the suggestions in Chapter 6 of the Local Plan as to how this type of housing should be delivered, but a would also note that nowhere in this section is "accessible and inclusive" housing mentioned. The Local Plan could include a policy stance on the quantity of accessible housing which should be provided (wheelchair accessible ad so forth), which may also overlaps with some of the needs for the older population.
