Shipston-on-Stour, with 85 properties flood-vulnerable, will face unmeasurable pressure from this proposed housing development. Recent floods worsened by new construction despite planning guarantees. While natural flood management exists, proper infrastructure investments remain lacking. Inadequate public transport compound these issues. The proposed 1,600-home expansion is unsustainable and unforgivable and will impact the core of what Shipston-on-Stour is, a market town set within a glorious countryside setting.
