Snitterfield Parish Council highlights in its NDP IN3, (Highway Safety), that as the village lies between the A46 and A3400, a number of the roads in the village are used as short-cuts. In particular, traffic travelling between these major A roads use the village to avoid the longer travel distances in the district. As a result we experience higher volumes of traffic than normal travelling at higher speed past our pub, school and nurseries creating hazards to pedestrians, parked cars and other road users. A development on this huge scale would significantly exacerbate this to an unacceptable and unsafe level.
