The re-use and redevelopment of suitable previously developed sites such as land off Leicester Lane, Cubbington should be positively encouraged as part of the Spatial Growth Strategy - for the obvious reason that reusing vacant or derelict land and buildings reduces the need to build on greenfield land, which is a finite resource and often of higher quality in terms of landscape and biodiversity.
