Given the known and accepted need for significant amounts of Affordable Housing this council accepts the proposal to require 50% of site Affordable housing provision, provided:
* the thresholds for demanding that AH provision should be the same in both rural and urban areas
* AND provided that such requirement can be shown to be meeting measured need in that particular local area

Do you support or object to the preferred option for the density of new housing?
ID sylw: 2941

We support the concept of a range of densities which should provide a range of sizes and costs to meet varied needs and improve the overall appearance, balance and environment of any new developments.

Do you support or object to levels of housing growth higher than those proposed by the Preferred Options?

STRONGLY OBJECT - This area has a relatively poor supporting infrastructure, other than good motorway access, and it is our belief that the numbers already imposed/accepted are significantly in excess of local needs and are too accommodating of outflow from Birmingham, Coventry and other areas.

Not enough detail provided of "WDC thoughts so far" - that comes later!
This council believes that it is inappropriate to choose locations for development without knowledge of what infrastructure changes would be considered essential/appropriate to support such proposals, AND of proposals in neighbouring district council areas that may produce pressures on WDC area infrastructure.

ID sylw: 2945

The levy should be on a site-by-site basis according to:
* The infrastructure needs of that site
* AND the impact of that site on the wider geographic area

YES - but should be amended to reflect the more balanced spread (four towns and south of Coventry) of development which we suggest earlier in this questionnaire.
