Existing amenities and infrastructure in Hampton Magna and Hampton-on-the-Hill could not absorb another 100 plus dwellings. Budbrooke school is already at capacity. Given there is 'flexibility' (paragraph 7.22) in the Plan to remove some dwellings, we propose that you remove the 100 plus dwellings from the Plan.
There is also excessive commuter traffic currently using the only road though the villages as a 'rat run' and action nees to be taken now to deal with what has become a dangerous situation.

You state that you wish to mitigate against negative transport impacts - such as ....congestion... -. Please look at the Hampton Road/Woodway/Old Budbrooke Road which access the villages of Hampton Magna and Hampton-on-the-Hill and consider means of reducing the commuter traffic which has already reached dangerous proportions with speeding vehicles on the same road used by children cycling to school.

Hampton Magna should not be removed from the Green Belt. Current residents have been attracted to the village because it is in the Green Belt. The village amenities are at capacity now and could not take additional dwellings without a deterioration in the quality of life for existing residents.

The travelling community have been without a site for many years. They therefore take matters into their own hands and plague communities with their unauthorised occupation of land. WDC must now get on with it and identify a suitable site in consultation with the communities which may be affected.
