Support the Local Plan's intention to explore the case for the Gateway site being identified as a site of regional importance.

Recognise the need to demonstrate very special circumstances for green belt release. The case for this will be made in a planning application and consquently the application and the Local Plan are expected to progress in parallel allowing the Gateway to be assessed as part of the overall development strategy.
