Need to assist with mandating solar panels on existing buildings: example is Kenilworth Primary Schools obtained Solar for Schools support but could not install the panels because of the roof structures (asbestos on older building roofs). Another example is purpose built maisonettes require the landlords (normally separate ownerships) to co-operate.

Whilst I support the principle of renewable generation and storage, but the development of solar farms must be spread across the whole of South Warwickshire and not concentrated in specific areas creating a cumulative factor and must not result in significant adverse impacts on the local environment, including landscape character and flooding issues. Support the proposals for increased community benefits in terms of profit sharing or proportion of community ownership or delivering local, social and community benefits. All new housing must have solar pv panels on their roofs. Support principle of wind energy but Warwickshire is not that windy!

We support PV solar on brownfield and lower-quality agricultural land (grades 3b-5). Energy storage should normally be co-located with renewables. Large buildings should also have rooftop PV - better than using agricultural or habitat land. Economy of scale brings more efficient construction, resource use and embedded carbon.

Land classification and agricultural output needs reconsidering for suitability for renewables. Land previously considered low grade is now well-yielding due to modern methods of agriculture. Perception that sheep can graze below solar is practically untrue. Used as a rebuttal to the loss of agricultural land, it is often stated the grass below can be grazed. However, in practice this is not done due to financial liability of damage placed on farmers by developers and the degradation of the nutritiousness of grass due to shading from the panels. It is disingenuous to say the two work hand in hand. Prioritise rooftops.

The loss of agricultural land to enormous solar panel farms has enormous visual impact for local residents as well as visitors and tourists who come to counties like Warwickshire to enjoy the rural views and historic settings. Vast solar sites covering many fields as at Newbold Pacey cause unacceptable negative visual impact as well as questionable effects on all wildlife there long term.

Disagree with this policy. I do not want to see swathes of land with large Wind Turbines and Solar Panels. It will ruin the landscape forever.
In addition, National Grid need to provide a robust and stable network that has the capacity. I have explored Solar and Energy Storage on land i own with a large pylon only to be informed, we have capacity to take new solar energy but its unstable to connect to and that is if you can win over the locals for having a larger solar farm!

I don't know how you can enforce this, but it seems so important that ways must be found. wildflowers growing around a solar farm are much more valuable to the environment than the monoculture deserts that many fields have been allowed to become
