Perimeter paths can create vital refuge for vulnerable road users to avoid increasingly busy roads. Equestrians are used to sharing spaces with different users on bridleways and byways so a park is no different and can be managed safely. Some excellent examples such as Shipley Park and Elvaston Castle confirm this.
