This is Green belt & agricultural land, No mains Gas, poor electric power supply with power cuts, area is subject to flooding with most of the roads into the village being just lanes no footpaths, no street lighting, low railway bridge, lots of narrow hump back bridges. It is a Canal conservation area ,Ancient Rowington coppice, Hay wood, two National Trust properties which locals and many visitors come to enjoy all of this area of outstanding beauty. The GP surgery, primary school is at capacity. The Railway Station at capacity too, parking for 16 cars only, and many other reasons.

The local services of schools and the 2 doctor GP surgery are completely impractical for such changes. The roads are not compatible with the higher level of traffic . This would change the feel of Lapworth village to a large town, putting enormous pressure on the roads in the area. The local school would not be able to cope with such a large influx to the area and the current railway station already has extremely limited parking unable to accommodate a large increase in users. The country village would become a sprawling mess, covering large amounts of current farmland and detracting from the reasons people visit the area by concreting over local footpaths.

Only one primary school in village, no secondary school and children are bussed to other areas. Doctors' surgery already at capacity and site is too small to develop, currently parking for maximum of 12 vehicles. Rail service from Lapworth insufficient, as trains only run hourly throughout the day, and every 2 hours at times. The service is very unreliable with trains often cancelled. Parking at the station is already an issue, with 16 spaces, without capacity for expansion.

This area is accessed by a narrow bendy rural B 4439 road largely through green belt.There are few pavements. The roadsflood quite regularly. The width of the road is restricted by width and height of the railway bridge at lapworth. The station at lapworth has only 16 carparking spaces and no land to increase.The rail capacity is full and there is not a frequent service from the station so would not meet commuter need. C1 area is rural and offers very little employment . Green belt should be preserved to give access to the countryside.

3. Fluvial and surface water flooding issues.

Council should be looking at rezoning town centres to encourage change of use from commercial to residential, to bring life back into the towns. not the easy option of building on greenbelt destroying the landscape and wildlife. We need to be protecting our farm land to produce our food not destroying it.
the council needs to look at other options to solve the housing problem. Affordable retirement villages, students in student accommodation, release housing stock.
