Having just moved in here to a house surrounded by lovely countryside, I was upset to see a large barn erected just outside my window blocking the view. Plans to build houses here exacerbate the decline of some of the rare untouched natural beauty of South Warwickshire. Not only will these buildings devalue properties in Pathlow, but they will decrease quality of life for the many people that enjoy walking between these fields every day.

The proposed land is currently used for food production and is green belt. The local geology is unsuitable for a housing development as it has a high water table and development will cause flooding. The local infrastructure specifically, the A3400, Broadband & Electricity Network are already inadequate for the size of the current population. Pathlow is already listed in the highest DEFRA category for Noise Pollution due to the poor quality of the A3400 and traffic volume. The development is inappropriately large and will destroy the rural character.

Overcrowding Proposed development of housing in SUA is far too aggressive
More houses will result in more traffic on the roads, more crowding in schools, problems in providing health services, policing". Poor or no new infrastructure will lead to more problems.

We need to be part of "proactive urban planning" until that happens no new builds should take place in the village of Bearley.
Stratford District Council, Council, said the area had been lacking a "proper local plan".
Liberal Democrat administration was in the process of drawing one up to bring the number of new builds under control. ?

Bearley is an old, long established village surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The A34 is reguarly flooded, further housing will only compound this further. The proposed building site fields flood on a regular basis. The water can only go on the A34. This undeoubtedly will impact residents.
It is virtually impossible to get a doctors appointment now, this will only get worse with more residents.
I have seen deers, rabits and hares to name but a few animals in the proposed fields. Are we to lose these as well as our fields, trees and hedges? I strongly object.

1. The proposed development of 6700 new homes on land at Bearley is totally out of proportion with the size of the current village, at a scale of 20x more.
2. The development builds on a large area of greenbelt land with a detrimental biodiversity impact.
3. The proposed land currently floods over the A34 frequently south towards Pathlow and under the Bearley railway bridge.
4. Current traffic levels at work and school peak times is already a major issue on the A34 at the A46 junction, without the addition of another 6700 homes plus services.

* The proposed development is not supported by existing infrastructure (roads, schools, shops, medical) & is a long way from Stratford, which already has major traffic flow issues. Already, commuters drive too fast through Snitterfield and Bearley trying to avoid traffic jams.
* The existing community will be destroyed. People know & help each other, & there is virtually no crime in Bearley. The development would increase Bearley's housing 20-fold.
* Where will the inhabitants work? Which local employers?

This area floods badly- both fields at the side of featherbed lane flood.
The road access turning on the Birmingham road is insufficient.
The traffic flow into Stratford along this route is already awful and would become unmanageable.
There are crested newts along canal and a lot of rare wildlife - kingfishers, herons, otters and bats.

It will ruin the access to Mary Arden’s farm - a site of national historic significance.
Currently drains in village flood and will need remedial work if more houses are built - they are not fit for purpose and can’t cope with volume already.

There is inadequate road infrastructure to support the proposed new development. The area already suffers from severe traffic problems on the single track route through Henley, on the A46 leading to the troubled Longbridge roundabout (which then creates problems within Warwick town) and on the Birmingham road leading into Stratford. The trains are not adequate in reliability or location to provide alternative transport and are currently used sparsely for this reason.

This site abuts woodland where there is a nationally significant bat roost. It is unlikely that the site could be developed in a way that would not result in the loss of the roost, even if considerable amounts of money were spent in the attempt. As the most northerly maternity roost of lesser horseshoe bats in England this colony may well hold the fate of the whole species in England as global warming affects the range of this species.

Do not agree with proposal for Bearley/Wilmcote settlement. SUMMARY of points:
1. Flooding of Salters Lane, and surface flooding A3400 already dangerous.
2. Road A3400 will not cope with additional traffic towards Solihull or Stratford. Bottleneck at Wootton and Henley-in-Arden. RAT runs will increase through villages like Aston Cantlow and Norton Lindsey.
3. Junction of Salters Lane and A3400 will present a very dangerous junction already a death trap.
4. Rail network is very poor and limited.
5. Rare and common wildlife in particular birds like Red Kite, swallows, herons etc

Extremely concerned about the proposal here due to increased traffic it will likely bring through Snitterfield (of which I’m a resident and already a high amount of cars going through the village at peak times with schools and lots of children walking on the main road). Also concerned of the amount of traffic it will bring to Stratford and the Maybird. With Tesco Superstore being the closest supermarket there is already a very high amount of traffic at weekends. It also lies in a green belt area, thought this was to prevent development in these areas.

I am against the building of houses on the green belt. This is an area of beauty, with protected trees, thriving wildlife. Building thousands of houses will destroy this. These houses will be overlooking homes already in the area with huge loss of privacy for existing villagers. Villages have narrow roads which will not cope with such a large impact of increased traffic and use. Building more roads will not fix the issue. Are you from the area? Reports only tell you so much. Reports do not show Birmingham road drivers speeding, children will be hurt.

This green belt area is good farmland, producing our food. Its main problem is heavy clay soil which is prone to flooding. Attempts to improve the drainage have achieved very little due to the topography around Featherbed Lane, which therefore has no sewerage system. This makes most of the BW site totally unsuitable for a large development as its development would be extremely difficult and costly, and leave the site and surrounding area vulnerable to extensive flooding.

Having up until recently been a resident of Bearley, and still living very close by….im appalled at the idea of turning this village into a town. There is no infrastructure to support, and it’s often gridlock with flooding already….what about nature, and green open spaces being good for residents health? The village just cannot support this planned carnage.
