I object against the South Warwickshire Local Plan for Bearley and Wilmcote.

This housing development will completely destroy the landscape and outlook of the area.
Bearley and Wilmcote both come under Green Belt Land.

The increase in traffic, will cause an increase in pollution and will also destroy the tourism that Stratford-upon-Avon currently has.

This plan would drive out our wildlife. The Snitterfield and Bearley Bush are protected woodland.

The government state that small villages will have an increase of 56% in new housing, not 2000%.

Bearley Village is subject to flooding and is recorded as a high risk.

The proposed urbanisation of Wilmcote and Bearley will not only destroy a beautiful and historic area but will also lead to catastrophic flooding and sewage problems. The village roads and nearby main routes are already under pressure without adding to the burden. Entire settlement in green belt. Proposal is ribbon development which green belt should prevent. Proposal merges Bearley, Pathlow, Wilcote and Stratford. This will undermine existing village centres. Too close to Stratford to create a meaningful centre of its own.

Wilmcote and Bearley both contain conservation areas that would be irreparably harmed by urban sprawl. Loss of countryside, habitats and complete change of character.

Having almost been killed trying to cross from Gospel Oak Lane via a short stretch of a terrifying main road to Featherbed Lane, I would describe this area as likely to be helped by a better approach to the relationship between cars and people. The rail link is a clear plus. I can see why this site was selected. BUT!!!! As in so many things, HOW will matter more than what. If chosen this must be a role model for nature, active travel, plenty of green space. HORTICULTURE is missing in our culture - there could be lots here.

pollution and journey times. This could deter day visitors to Straford.
SHAKESPEARE COUNTRY, heritage asset. Good farming land, areas of outstanding beauty, wild life, a leisure facility and also Green Belt.
Flooding already a problem. Gorse Fam no access from Church Lane, a single track, banked sides, no footpath, a leisure facility used daily by many villagers and hikers.

The proposed idea for huge housing developments are simply not thought through and a knee jerk reaction to government quotas. We have already seen huge amount of houses built in the last 3 yeras.
The environmental damage, the congestion, the pollution, the extra population within the area, will result in huge problems in huge traffic congestion is already horrendous. Schools will be overrun, doctors surgeries and hospitals overrun, traffic chaos, a destroyed countryside.

6800 new homes would increase traffic drastically on the A3400 which children would have to cross twice a day to go to school.
