This proposed development would permanently damage the environment, increase traffic congestion, and overwhelm already stretched local services. The Green Belt must be protected—there are no exceptional circumstances to justify its loss. This site lacks essential infrastructure, with no nearby GP, secondary school, or reliable public transport, making it unsustainable. Increased traffic on Rouncil Lane would create safety risks, while local biodiversity and historic landscapes would be irreversibly harmed. Flooding and drainage issues would worsen, and vital green spaces would be lost. There are far more suitable, sustainable alternatives, and this development must be rejected to protect our town’s future.
