No physical existing boundary for redesignation of greenbelt and prevent coalescence with Leek Wotton/Beausale. Green belt land should be protected. No exceptional circumstances.
Negative impact on Arden Special Landscape Area with historical significance of Kenilworth’s castle “Olde Parke”. Important views and openness across to Kenilworth castle. Loss of walking paths for residents and community groups.
Loss of productive farmland. SG04 provides 2nd lowest housing capacity yield of all spatial growth areas.
Local amenities at capacity and overstretched.
Road infrastructure around Rouncil Lane unsuitable for influx of vehicles, creating dangerous bottlenecks and undermining safety of National Cycle Route 52.
