Building should only be granted brown field sites first. It is counter to a key objectives of the new government to retain food security and be at the whim of imports. Building on good fertile farmland further reducing your food security. Infrastructure in the area certainly would need a huge amount of work. standing on Leicester lane pretty much any time of the day you see a huge volume of traffic, especially mornings and evenings where it’s frequently stationary at both ends. Building several hundred more new homes would mean mayhem.
