The allocation of SG07 fails to comply with national and local planning policy due to:
• Failure to prioritise urban brownfield land.
• Lack of clear, market-tested demand for additional employment land.
• Encroachment on the Green Belt without exceptional justification.
• Contributing to unsustainable ribbon development.
For these reasons, the allocation should be removed from the Local Plan, and the Council should focus on maximising the use of existing urban employment sites before considering Green Belt release.
