Completely unnecessary destruction of the green belt resulting in urban sprawl, loss of endangered species (including barn owls, bats and hares all living on this land). Infrastructure will crumble, flooding dramatically increase, gridlock of roads - no one is going to use Bearley Station, it’s not fit for purpose. Vast increase in noise and air pollution. Bearley Crossroads has frequent collisions, children walk along Salters Lane with no footpath to access school bus routes, endangering lives.
Green belt should be the very last resort, not first. We have a responsibility to protect the quality of life here for future generations.
