Objection to Housing Development – Site Ref 623: Lowes Lane/Walton Road, Wellesbourne (Well.07B)

I am writing to express my strong objection to the proposed housing development on the field located behind “Long Ground” and “The Old Orchard” along Lowes Lane in Wellesbourne (Site Ref 623: Lowes Lane/Walton Road – Well.07B). This site is wholly unsuitable for residential development.

Wellesbourne has already experienced substantial expansion in recent years, leading to increased flood risks, traffic congestion, and pressure on local services. This proposal would worsen all these issues, while also damaging the historic character of the village and removing an important floodplain. Given the clear environmental, safety, and infrastructure concerns, I strongly urge you to reject this proposal and ensure future development is conducted in a way that respects Wellesbourne’s unique heritage, natural landscape, and community needs.
