I partially agree with Draft Policy Direction 6 but have concerns about clarity and prioritisation. The policy identifies multiple transport schemes but does not clearly prioritise essential projects. Rail infrastructure and public transport improvements must be prioritised over road expansion to support sustainable development. Additionally, there is no clear commitment to funding or delivery timelines, raising concerns that safeguarded transport schemes may not be implemented before major development occurs. Without guaranteed investment and clear phasing, development risks outpacing necessary transport improvements. The policy must secure funding, set clear priorities, and ensure transport infrastructure is delivered before expansion.
