Recent development at Wellesbourne provides suburban sprawl of housing not affordable or suited to 20-40 year olds in their early career, despite the motor and academic interests in the area.

SG16 threatens to increase Wellesbourne's sprawl and ruin the rural character, Charlecote, and Loxley - very much to the detriment of Stratford-On_Avon. It would also require massive changes to local roads to cope with the traffic.

However the eastern third of SG16 would provide enough land to provide housing suited to singles, couples and young families if built at 160 dwellings per hectare.
