The SW relief road, postulated alongside the present approved development of Long Marston Airfield, has still not materialised, with spiralling costs and no adequate contribution having been secured from the developer. This means that there is no additional transport infrastructure to underpin the sustainability of the site. Furthermore, there is absolutely no indication as to when, if ever, the Stratford to Honeybourne railway line will be re-opened. Until it does, it seems inappropriate to place any reliance on its underpinning any additional transport infrastructure to lessen the need for new residents to use their cars for transportation.
