Wilmcote requires special protection because of the importance of its Shakespeare properties to the national heritage and the visitor economy of Stratford. A car park should be provided east of the station. The village should be separated by a substantional area of undeveloped land from any new housing to the north and east, which should be developed as a separate village.

The existing village of Bearley is more appropriate for expansion. I cannot understand why the former WW2 airfield is not being proposed for development, as this provides an opportunity for a well designed separate community.
