Development would have a number of undesirable impacts; potential coalescence of existing villages & hamlets by removing the green belt protection which defines them; requirements for new amenities and infrastructure (including foul water drainage, which is already inadequately dealt with); loss of safe walking and cycling which is so important to health and well being.

This area is key to the Arden Special Landscape: importantly Kenilworth Castle needs to continue to benefit from its heritage landscape to continue to attract visitors and to boost tourism.

If large community growth is needed, new settlements are preferred.
