I oppose the inclusion of SG06: it isn’t needed to meet housing demand, as non-green belt sites can accommodate growth. The location is poorly connected, encouraging car use. SG06 fulfills essential green belt purposes, including preventing sprawl and preserving countryside. The Green Belt Review had methodological flaws, and SG06 is high-quality agricultural land vital for food production. A similar proposal was rejected in 2017 and those arguments are more valid today, and SG06 provides environmental and health benefits through its green space and wildlife habitats. Developing it would undermine the Local Plan’s sustainability and environmental goals
