Further development in this area without accompanying road and, crucially, river bridge construction will lead to unacceptable traffic congestion and dangerous deterioration of air quality along the Shipston and Banbury roads.
These routes are already blighted by extensive idling traffic and are an inappropriate route for trucks - such traffic congestion / pollution contradicts other strategic goals of this plan.
