This proposed has capacity for 4,960 dwellings, resulting in a potential population increase of 11,900. The resulting population would be an unreasonable 6 times the existing population of 2,373 as recorded in the 2021 Census. The New Settlements Assessment – South Warwickshire Local Plan published in November 2024 noted that 1 new Secondary school and 3 to 4 new primary schools would be required to support the expanded population in an area of poor employment opportunities. If existing Green Belt is to be removed for housing Kingswood would seem to be an extremely poor choice of location.
