I do not believe that the exceptional circumstances for building on greenbelt land have been justified as there is enough capacity to meet the area's housing needs in other identified locations. It is not a sustainable location with access to public transport and the land is valuable for agricultural, leisure and biodiversity reasons. It is essential that we maintain food security as well as access to open countryside for the physical and mental well-being of the local population. The site has been rejected before by the Planning Inspector for the above reasons and more, and nothing has changed.
