This is green belt agricultural land which should be preserved for environmental reasons and food production. Roads cannot support more traffic. Bishopton roundabout where the A3400 joins the A46 is a bottleneck; roads into Stratford are already congested. Drivers will use "cut throughs" on narrow lanes used by slow-moving agricultural traffic. There would be a detrimental effect on surrounding villages and safety issues with traffic in Wilmcote passing narrow pavements by the primary school and Mary Arden's Farm educational centre. The two "stations" are unstaffed rural halts on a single track with no car park and approached by rural lanes.
