The road infrastructure is insufficient. B1 meets strong greenbelt criteria re its defensible boundaries - motorway, railwayline, canal. It will compromise the Green Belt land around the Hamptons and the Shrewleys. The north east portion is proper countryside with quiet narrow single-track lanes characteristic of the area. These lanes can support occasional farm traffic but not the rush of commuters. The area is characteristically non-nucleated, and several large fields of houses would cause wider harm to the Warwickshire countryside. Hatton is already very over-developed in comparison to its facilities.
