I oppose the proposed development at Bearley and Wilmcote and am in full support of the objection submitted by the Wilmcote Action Group. Predominantly, but not exhaustively, the reasons are that the proposal is neither sustainable nor financially viable, particularly in respect to the transport infrastructure. Flood risk posed by the proposed extensive urbanisation will be catastrophic. Destruction of the Green Belt land would be detrimental to the environment and this is unjustifiable as is the loss of potential food production. Erosion of heritage assets, flora and fauna, habitat and biodiversity is an unthinkable loss for us and future generations.
