Fundamentally Stratford town and the surrounding villages will lose their character and attraction as a tourist destination if they are merged by infill. This is contrary to the District planning policy. Area south of Bordon Hill is already suffering from flooding and the river from poor water quality after development north of the B439. There are a significant number of brown field sites that stand ready for redevelopment in and close to the town centre that would provide more affordable and more appropriate housing to meet needs.
