Whilst supported by a station at Wood End, the service is not sufficient to support commuting. Hence, the proposed development would place a significant strain on local roads and likely to create added use of rural local roads as rat runs at busy times. There is minimal infrastructure in Wood End so large numbers of journeys would result as residents travelled to other areas for shopping etc. There would be a loss of farming land with no alternative plans for the provision of alternative food supplies.
