Coventry Airport is an irreplaceable facility. It supports the UK's aviation and helps in the training of pilots and aviation jobs. In disregard of the NPPF and aviation/defence considerations, aerodromes have been put out of action across the country and it is a very worrying situation. Destroying an functioning airport is insane. General aviation feeds into commercial aviation by providing a way of learning skills, from piloting to aviation mechanics, air traffic controllers, ground maintenance, etc. You can build a factory on any business park but not an airport. One day it'll be bitterly regretted.
