Extensive development in the North Leamington area would add huge additional traffic pressures on the main roads into the town centre the south of the Leam, and the railway line, where nearly all the major supermarkets and shopping parks are located. Access to Kenilworth as an alternative shopping destination would be little better. Development of location(s) SG06 would also remove a significant area of agricultural green-belt land. As recognised in the consultation document, non-green belt land should be prioritised instead.
