This proposal is contrary to planning policy and I object to it for the following reasons:-
- SG24 comprises Green Belt land. The emphasis of all relevant planning policies is on its protection.
- The loss of green space, agricultural land, trees and hedgerows would have a detrimental impact on wildlife, biodiversity and the village.
- The local road network is already under severe pressure.
- There are inadequate health or school facilities to support additional residents.
- The character of Hockley Heath would be destroyed and the scale of development being proposed is contrary to Solihull MBC's local plan.
