Tanworth in Arden is unsuitable for development due to its undulating terrain and green belt landscape. The infrastructure is limited, with few utilities and standalone services. Wood End Station offers just one train per hour to Birmingham and Stratford, which is inadequate for large settlement. The road network comprises narrow lanes that flood and would require significant upgrades, harming wildlife.
The area also contains numerous listed buildings as well as a nearby Conservation Area.
A more viable alternative is Bearley and Wilmcote, with sustainable transport options including two train stations on different lines, canal, and close proximity to major roadways.
