Shipston has more than doubled in size in recent years any further development will have an adverse impact on the settlement.
The natural eastern boundary of the Town is the River Stour. The designation as a strategic growth centre involving substantial development on the eastern side of the river will have an adverse effect upon the setting of the town and it's relationship to the countryside.
The Cotswold AONB Includes Brailes Hill under two miles distance from SG17, A Buffer Zone, as suggested , around the AONB to protect it from the impact of new developments, is to be commended.
