The sites, in particular Fell Mill Lane (148 & 747), are highly unsuitable for development of this scale. Shipston and the surrounding villages flood very badly and these plans will make this even worse. The sewage plant is at capacity. Transport links are limited and major conurbations far away, meaning a large increase in traffic, causing pollution and congestion and making the whole area more dangerous for pedestrians. Fell Mill Lane is very close to CNB zone and is much used as a green space for residents walking. In short, these issues seriously undermine the stated objective of 'sustainable development'.
