There is no local infrastructure to support such a development. The train station cannot support such an increased level of dwellings. The roads also could not cope. You would be building across green belt land with no thought for the wild belt or the impact on wildlife. It would also be destroying over 1000 acres of valuable food producing farmland which would have a direct impact on our food security as a country. It would utterly decimate the local area.
