The risk of flooding from the proposals is severe. Several of the proposed sites are within flood risk zones 3 & 2. We have problems with increased runoff from residential developments already, and the attenuation ponds are not a sufficient remedy.
There are inadequate public transport facilities already and, with no employment in Shipston and the way working hours vary now, this will only increase car journeys for commuting to work.
The available facilities are already stretched, particularly nurseries, schools and especially doctors and dentists. These cannot cope with more demand being placed on them without serious investment.
